Indeed, the Invisible Internet Project exists and works fine, https://geti2p.net

You're not wrong today, but they are expanding their ads department to the detriment of users: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46911901, https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46322556, https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22501511

You forgot about one of the most innovative phone in recent time, Librem 5: https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/docs/community-wiki/-/wikis/F...

You can already run postmarketOS or PureOS on a phone and get the full desktop mode with no restrictions, except the computing power.

* Select models only. Limitations and restrictions apply. Warranty void in all countries.

Every phone has its own limitations and restrictions, don't they?

> Warranty void in all countries.

This not true for Librem 5 running PureOS.

It didn't get removed. It's here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49631258. Just nobody upvoted it.

Thanks for the info. I went through what I had thought was enough Show posts to find it, but apparently not enough :-( I haven't been on Hacker News in a few years and forgot how it works - I should have checked my submissions section.

Thanks for taking the action. My posts questioning some aspects of Graphene also got flagged, not fairly in my opinion.

> Yes, but there is no alternative other than giving up.

Of course there is. Sent from my daily driver Librem 5.

Disclaimer: It is less secure than GrapheneOS, according to the GrapheneOS threat model.

Or consider using Qubes OS, which for certain threat models is more secure than air gaping: https://doc.qubes-os.org/en/latest/introduction/faq.html#how...
