You're correct. I spoke a little too loosely, there are many different kinds of visas, but something like 95% of all work visas issued each year fall into the category of non-immigrant.
I'll concede that this statistic is cold comfort if you fall into that 5% category, but the point is that work visa almost always means non-immigrant.

Maybe in 10 years when the tech matures, but IMO now seems a bit too early to have a tech like this. It is like intelligence without evolution or progress.. yes it can be used in some niche markets, but difficult to be generic.
There are plenty of applications that would be useful right now. Specialized models for tool use, like fine tuning for command line tools that are already well established and don’t change often. I’m sure there are many areas where the training data is essential crystallized and unlikely to change. Think of them more like delegated agents or coprocessors that another model could route to so instead of routing to a quantized or lesser model it could use a full fidelity model that is faster, almost instantaneous.
Just like any useful tools, there would be an expert super tool user who could probably generate enough profit based on the tools. The majority would not profit from it in the long run (the monopolistic tool makers would reap any profit from the value chain.)

"Claude" is their chat bot product, so a peer of ChatGPT and used for everything. It by default uses their "Claude Sonet" models.
"Claude Code" is their code-writing client application, which uses "Claude Opus" models.
Fair point. Asked Gemini to suggest alternatives, and it suggested Gemini Velocity, Gemini Atom, Gemini Axiom (and more). I would have liked `Gemini Velocity`.
I like Anthropic's approach: Haiku, Sonnet, Opus. Haiku is pretty capable still and the name doesn't make me not wanna use it. But Flash is like "Flash Sale". It might still be a great model but my monkey brain associates it with "cheap" stuff.
The danger of short form videos is because the form enables the algorithm designer to artificially maximize the reward with minimum effort by the viewer. It doesn't matter whether you watch kitten ones initially. After watching it for a month casually, chances are you would end up watching some addictive videos for hours with little effort. It could be some endless stream of Buddhist monks talking about suffering, if someone likes that kind of thing. It's just designed to be addictive with crazy high reward/effort ratio.
