Ignore my earlier comment, we pushed out some fixes. There is a working F# template in the experimental category. However please note that the performance is not great right now, you'll pay a startup cost of invoke fsi.exe per function invocation. It will get better!

Event Hubs support is already in there and we have a couple of basic templates. Make a new function and check the "Data Processing" scenario category.

We'll have some more templates and end to end samples out soon, as well.

We use node-sqlserver (https://github.com/WindowsAzure/node-sqlserver).

We also give scripts full access to the node-sqlserver driver, so they can run their own arbitrary SQL as necessary.

Many proxies deployed today won't understand the upgrade header and in the case of an explicit proxy config will ignore the CONNECT operation if performed on 80 (rather than 443).

WebSockets works best over SSL.
