Not sarcasm at all. I think you might overestimate the time and effort needed for this. When you maintain a _personal_ fork with no users except yourself, you only ever need to change something when you encounter a bug or need a new feature.

I think I only added two features, pasting images over mosh (ssh already worked but not mosh) and a compact version of sidebar.

The story behind the fork is: I had a bug with raycast, filed a PR that fixed it for me https://github.com/manaflow-ai/cmux/pull/2435, a different fix made it into next release that for me didn't work. Maybe the problem was on my side, but at this point it was easier to fork the working version than debug further.

Have you watched sports recently? Gambling has always had a negative effect on the perceived fairness but once that effect becomes a core part of the way the sport is monetized it gets even worse for everyone involved. Watching playoff games last weekend either Draft Kings or Fan Duel showed an ad where a single person in a crowded bar is cheering wildly by themselves while looking at their parlay bet or whatever on their phone - this isolation of the communal experience alone is a definitely a negative effect but I could go on...

I do not think it will. The Democratic Party is not an opposition party in its current form. The GOP will likely hold on to power in a fashion consistent with historical authoritarian takeovers.

Given the administration is openly talking about not having elections, I am not sure it can. I am guessing all this chatter about the insurrection act is itself a cover to not have midterms. Will that be enough to spark mass protests and general strikes? I am not sure. I genuinely think the ability for massively violating acts to be normalized quickly is unprecedented. Anything is possible.
