Note that this happens anytime you mistype a variable, e.g.

    export FOOBAR=/usr/local/lib
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$FOOBAL

So yeah, fix the source of the problem in ld.so, don't blame it on Torch.
