That made exporting oil to China in large volume possible, and that's happening.
We sell $170 billion of O&G per year. China rising to $9 billion as per your link means it's still within the range I mentioned (I am aware they increased since that report, but it's small compared to total exports).
Lol >90% of our oil exports still go to the US. China could be good to grow our exports but it's not replacing the US.
