I very strongly agree.

I think the next 2-4 months are the best time ever to build and sell software. But it has to sell now. It will likely be obsolete in 1 year, and no one will care anymore.

I think this is the last easy chance to capture an audience.

People will always pay for packaged convenience and a vendor that will keep things working/compatible in the future, IMHO.

This will only work for online/hosted software, right?

If local one can be one-shotted?

Or not everyone would care or know how to use AI...

I think there is value in an app you can drag/drop or exe you can just click (trust issues aside, maybe get them from some marketplace or walled garden) and that will keep working after the next OS update or get updates for future changes in XYZ.

For one-shotted apps you still need to:

1. know how to do it well 2. maintain it 3. host it (if online)

Can't you ask Astra to do that too? That's the promise, that it can use the computer as you would.
